Youtube and AI

So youtube is amazing with the inundation of all kinds of videos that add to our tab browser and we dare not to delete. Well some of those videos, especially now in the age of AI, don’t have much to say.

A 5 min information vid is dragged out to 30.

So that is where transcripts come in. If there a video you just need some information from, just some insight, but it is like 30 + plus long and you only need a one minute response. Then best to get the transcript.

Sure you can now read it, depending on your skill, faster than the video playing. Though better yet, paste the transcript into AI, have it give you a summary on the transcript you feed it.

Ask it questions and get the summary of the video without having to watch the whole thing. This is especially useful when going down a research hole or wanting to avoid misinformation.

Just search for “youtube transcript” and a few websites will come up. Pick the one to your liking. Post the youtube link into the search field, the copy it and paste into your AI.

Once you paste the link, it should shortly come up with the transcript.
Then click on “copy transcript” to then paste into AI.
